Dr. Raffi Dishakjian, the Center's medical director, founded Nu Vela Esthetica in November 2005 with the goal of offering the most advanced cosmetic laser surgery and varicose vein treatment in San Fernando Valley. The doctor believes he achieved most of his goals by being one of the first doctors in San Fernando Valley to offer the VNUS closure procedure, Endovenous Laser Treatment (EVLT, Sciton's Pro-V Laser), foam sclerotherapy, fat removal by lipodissolve injections, and Titan light therapy for sagging skin.

Dr. Dishakjian equipped the Center with the best technology available. The VNUS system that is used for varicose vein treatment at the Center is the most advanced, sophisticated, and expensive in its category. Likewise, the Sciton Laser and Cutera Laser systems are considered the gold standard in aesthetic industry, because no other laser offers the versatility of these systems in treating an entire array of skin problems. Since then, the establishment of the Center, the doctor and his team are constantly evaluating new therapies, sometimes even before they become available in the market, and investing in new technologies to ensure that the Center offers the best results and best value to its clients.

Dr. Raffi Dishakjian, M.D. (pictured left), is a board certified physician, a cosmetic surgeon, specialized in minimally invasive cosmetic surgery, and a phlebologist, a doctor specialized in varicose vein treatment. He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Anesthesiology since 1995 with more than 15 years of operating room experience.

Dr. Dishakjian’s extensive surgery and anesthesia training, skill and experience also provide a comforting level of safety, allowing him to anticipate and manage medical risk in the rare chance of a medical emergency.
